About the Challenge
Yes, participants from anywhere in the world are welcome to join and complete the challenge.
  1. Create or log in to your Strava account and ensure your profile is set to public.
  2. Record your activities using your preferred device or app.
  3. Ensure all activities are uploaded to Strava to be reflected on the leaderboard.
You can check the leaderboard regularly to track your progress.
Yes. You may use your preferred sports devices or apps, including:
  • Cycling devices: Garmin, Wahoo, Magene, Bryton
  • Running watches/apps: Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, Apple Watch, Fitbit
However, all activities must be synced and uploaded to Strava to be recognised for the challenge.

Everesting is an endurance challenge where participants accumulate 8,848m of elevation gain, equivalent to the height of Mount Everest.

Participants may complete this by:
  • Cycling or Running
  • Repeating climbs on a chosen hill
  • Completing the challenge in a single attempt or cumulatively over the campaign period

Yes, you may accumulate your elevation across multiple sessions.

For Cyclist:
  • Only single-attempt completions will be eligible for a complimentary personalised finisher jersey with customised name
  • Multi-attempt completions may have the option to purchase a non-personalised finisher jersey
For Runners:
  • All forms of completion will be eligible for a complimentary personalised finisher jersey with customised name
  • Up to 20% will support campaign operational costs
  • At least 80% will go towards HCSA Community Services' programmes
Eligible donations (above $50) may qualify for tax deductions, subject to Singapore donation regulations.
Finisher entitlements will typically be delivered 4–6 weeks after the end of the campaign.
Yes. As long as your activities were:
  • recorded within the campaign period
  • uploaded to Strava
They will be reflected on the leaderboard.

Register via the official sign-up page and select Individual Participation.

A confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration. If not received, please check your spam folder.
Participants aged below 18 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian and provide consent.
No. Each participant must register with a unique email address.
Team Registration
  • Create a team: Register as Team Leader and share your team code
  • Join a team: Register using the team code provided
Maximum: 4 members per team
No. Each participant must complete their own elevation challenge. Entitlements are awarded individually.
Tracking & Logging of Activities
  • Leaderboard updates may take up to 24 hours
  • Ensure your Strava profile is set to public
If issues persist, contact support.
Yes. Indoor activities (e.g. trainer rides or treadmill runs) are allowed if recorded via approved platforms and uploaded to Strava.

Activities such as stair climbing, indoor vertical climbs or building ascents are not recommended, as they are typically not accurately tracked by GPS-based devices or Strava.

As a result, elevation gain from these activities may not be recorded or recognised on the leaderboard.

For best accuracy and eligibility, participants are strongly encouraged to complete their efforts through outdoor cycling or running routes, or approved indoor platforms that reliably track elevation.
No. Manual entries will not be recognised.
Please ensure your activity is recorded as:
  • Ride / Virtual Ride
  • Run / Treadmill Run
Possible reasons:
  • Incorrect activity type selected
  • Privacy settings not set to public
  • Overlapping activities (system retains highest elevation)
  • Activity flagged for irregularities
We do not recommend tagging, as it may create duplicate entries and affect leaderboard accuracy.
No. Participants are responsible for ensuring:
  • strong GPS signal
  • proper device tracking
You can connect your device via:

Challenge Locations

You may attempt the challenge anywhere.

Recommended locations in Singapore:
  • Mount Faber (Base Camp: Ciclo E Caffè)
  • Lorong Sesuai (self-supported)
You may also participate in community-led satellite events throughout the campaign.
Fair Play & Safety

The challenge operates on an honour system.

HCSA reserves the right to:
  • review activities
  • remove invalid entries
  • disqualify participants if necessary

All activities are subject to review and validation.

Participants may report suspicious entries.
Any activity conducted in violation of traffic laws:
  • will not be recognised
  • may result in disqualification
Participants must always prioritise:
  • safety
  • legal compliance
  • responsible conduct
Yes. You may complete the challenge:
  • outdoors (cycling or running)
  • on hills, trails or roads
For indoor cycling:
  • Zwift routes such as Alpe du Zwift (Road to Sky) are recommended
For runners:
  • treadmill are effective but are required to be sync to a sports application which allows u to upload onto strava
